Hell In a Cell Review

I was impressed with the Sheamus/Christian match. Just shows you how underrated Christian really is.
There was a lot of back-and-forth between the two, and, at times, Christian was really taking it to Sheamus.
I expected Christian to get the win by cheating, but was pleasantly surprised Sheamus got the clean win.

I'm sure this feud will continue and look forward to it.

The Sin Cara VS Sin Cara match seemed to drag on for a bit, and the fans responded in kind with boos at times.
There were some botches by both men which took me out of the match.

I'm sure with more practice and getting use to the more "Americanized" lucha libre, they will be fine.

"Blue" Sin Cara gets the win.

I enjoyed the tag match between "AIr Boom" and the team of Swagger and Ziggler.
All four of these wrestlers are really talented and it came through.

I loved the finish of Kofi stopping Ziggler from breaking up the pin.

Looks like "Air Boom" will keep the Tag Titles for awhile.

Can't say how great it is to finally have a dominate champion!
It shows you how much faith creative has in Mark Henry.

Henry dominates in the win. But I'm sure they have some more matches in them.

I was really impressed with how they booked the impromptu Intercontinental match between Cody Rhodes and John Morrison.

Rhodes comes out and puts his IC Belt into a paper bag and proudly displays the White Classic IC belt.

He goes on how the current Intercontinental belt had been tarnished and how cherished the White IC belt was.

Though he is not dressed to wrestle (wearing a suit) he has to defend the Title against Morrison.

They could have easily had Morrison win since he is huge fan favorite, but by keeping the title on Rhodes, and in that fashion, really showed me what they think of Cody Rhodes.

I expect a long IC reign before becoming the World Champion. Possibly in 2012.

Beth Phoenix wins the Divas Title from Kelly Kelly.

It was a shame they had to have Natalya interfere in order for Beth to win the title (even if it was just being hit with a microphone).

I guess that was a shot to the Marks who think (such as I) that Kelly is not deserving of the title.

This way Beth's win is tarnished and she needed help to win.

Alberto wins the WWE Championship in three-way match with CM Punk and John Cena.

I liked how they showed a very vicious side to Del Rio.
Having him use chairs, a steel pipe and the cage itself to beat up Punk and Cena.

Giving him more of a personality.

I thought it was brilliant to have Del Rio toss Cena out of the cage and lock him out!
Del Rio get the win, and the title, after using the steel pipe on Punk.

You knew Miz and R Truth would come into play sometime during this match after they were throw out of the arena earlier even though they "bought" tickets.

It was after the match that they interfered, attacking all three opponents and the referee.

By showing Triple H lose control (again) it is setting up someone (Vince?) taking back control from him.

I can see this Punk/Cena/Del Rio feud continuing for awhile, but it has to have some closure soon.

It seems as if, if they could, they would put belts on all three of them!

They have to have all three main event, but how?

Time will tell.

Thoughts on Ring of Honor's debut on TV (no spoilers)

First things first, it's great to have ROH back on TV. I didn't have the opportunity to watch ROH when it was on HDnet.
From a new fan's perspective, ROH truly is wrestling.

Coming from someone who solely has been watching WWE and TNA/Impact Wrestling, I have been amazed at the athleticism and the vast array of wrestling moves.

And to have matches that last longer than 5 minutes...unheard of!

I do have some constructive criticism.

To me, there seemed to be some mic issues. Kevin kelly's in-ring segment, the sound just didn't seem very clear.
Not nit picking, just pointing it out.

I didn't understand why they had to recap the Best in The World tag match twice. That seemed unnecessary to me.
That time could have been better spent on something else.

I didn't mind the pre-taped interviews and comments from the wrestlers. I know they are introducing ROH to new fans and have to provide some history for them.

So I'm hoping they will eventually have more than two matches per show.

This might be sacrilegious to some, but right now (and I know it's early) I wasn't impressed with Nigel's color commentary.

At one point he seemed to be rooting for both WGTT and the KOW.

Like I said, I know it's early, and he is new to announcing, so I'm sure he will grow on me.

Like others have posted on Twitter, it was cool to see a wrestling show on early afternoon (in some markets, anyway).

It brought back memories for me of watching WWF Superstars, and NWA on Saturdays.

It would have been nice for the redesigned ROH website to be up and running on Saturday since they plugged it several times during the show.

I for one am very excited about the talked about Premium section of the site.

I hope wrestling (and not just ROH) fans watched the premiere and wish ROH much success.

I can't wait for next Saturdays show!

Thoughts on Night Of Champions PPV

First off, couldn't be happier that Mark Henry beat Randy Orton to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
Henry had been on a huge roll the last couple of months, destroying everyone in his path.
It would have been very disappointing if he would had come away without the title. His monster run would have been all for naught, and back to the mid-card he would go.

It's nice to see a dominate champion for a change, and I don't mean SuperCena (more on that later.)

Now hopefully they will keep the title on him for awhile, but seeing as how they change title holders like Teddy Long changes his suits, I won't hold my breath.

As happy as I was for Mark Henry, I couldn't be any more disappointed that Alberto Del Rio lost his WWE Title to John Cena.
When Ricardo Rodriguez was ejected from ringside for interfering, I thought to myself how cool it would be for Del Rio to win on his own, like he did against Rey Mysterio.

Del Rio dominated at time during the match, really putting a hurting on Cena, but alas, it was not to be.
SuperCena wins the title...AGAIN.

I fail to see how continually making Cena the champion is helping the company in the long run.
Yes, he is very dedicated and sells a lot of merchandise, but seeing him on top again and again is not good for the sport.

They need to plan for the future and develop some of the younger talent.

Why put the title on Del Rio only to take it away a month later?

And do the titles really mean anything anymore? As often as they change hands they are destroying the heritage of these championships.

The CM Punk/Triple H match delivered as advertised. It was a brutal match, and you could really feel the hatred the two had for each other.

But, we knew Nash would come out and interfere with the match.

I didn't see the Miz and R Truth angle coming though. That was unexpected and will keep me glued.

Where does it go from here though? More matches for HHH and Punk? Punk VS Nash?

I do look forward to this.

I loved the finish in the Cody Rhodes/Dibiase match. Brilliant.
Hope to see more of this feud.

Like I posted after Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix's first title match, I have to believe that WWE Creative is just sticking it to the fans, by having Kelly win.

The fans know she is not a wrestler, but no one is going to tell WWE that. Hence having Kelly win both matches.

The Miz and R Truth will undoubtedly win the tag titles, but I didn't see them winning last night.

The fatal-four-way match for the U.S. Title had some good moments.
I really thought Jack Swagger would win, if not, Alex Riley.

Nice swerve there.

Over all, a pretty solid PPV.

The Orton/Henry match was the best of the night for me, and not only because it was nice to see someone (Henry) rewarded for a change.

Can't wait for RAW and Smackdown!

What's wrong with being a fanatic?

I love wrestling. I guess that's kind of obvious because I have a wrestling blog, but I REALLY love wrestling!
I would consider myself a fanatic. Not only do I like to watch wrestling and read about it, but I also love to read about what goes on behind the scenes.

Is it wrong to want to know about the goings-on outside of the ring? Some would say yes.
Some would question why a fan would ask questions about a certain wrestler or feud and the need to know more details then what is being presented.
Some would even go as far as to say that is being negative.

As the Miz would say: Really? Really?

There are some fans that are content with just watching the shows and going on for the ride.
I have no problem with that, I was like that once.
But others, like me, want to know more. Thirst for more information.

What are the reasons for certain story-lines and why did they change.

Heck some go even farther than I would and question why a wrestler cut his hair, if in fact he did.

But is that any different than the coverage of celebrities? Some want to know who is going out with who, why did they break up, what side of the political spectrum are they on?

Why are wrestling fans treated differently? Why are they, at times, treated with disdain, EVEN from the ones who cover wrestling and even worse, from those who are directly involved with it?

Is it wrong to be a fanatic? To love something so much that you want to know everything about it?

Why? I just don't get it.

And what's even worse is that wresting is still very much a taboo subject for some.

Tell someone you are a wrestling fan and you just might get "The look."
Wrestling has been around since the turn of the century, yet, when one mentions it, you might be inundated with "redneck" and homo-erotic jokes.

Yet we as wrestling fans are proud, damn proud to be fans.
We gladly put up with the misconceptions and intolerance.

And what do we get for this? We get labeled as negative?

When you do this you are no better than those who simplistically view wrestling as a poor mans sport.
Those that see wrestling fans as yokels.

It seems at times that to discuss wrestling, your have to be in some sort of "club."

Celebrities can discuss wrestling with no fear of reprisal. But dare a "regular" fan to engage those in the know, and they will be turned away, sent to the "children's table."

But it is the very same that have brought wrestling to it's current level of prominence.

We are the one's that have spent our hard earned money to attend shows and buy the Tee shirts that proudly show our allegiance.

It's now common to hear ESPN anchors reference wrestlers such as CM Punk, but where were they a year ago, five years ago?
Then, they dared not such as utter a single word about wrestling.

But we as wrestling fans welcome them aboard the bandwagon.

But let's not forget who was behind wrestling from the very beginning:

The common fan, the Fanatic.

CM Punk/Triple H/Kevin Nash

It was announced on this past episode of Raw that CM Punk will be wrestling Triple H at the Night Of Champions PPV instead of Kevin Nash.

Triple H tells Punk that Punk has insulted him and his wife, and that enough is enough.

This is why Triple H will face Punk at the NOC ppv.

While I love this feud that is going on between them, it would have been nice if they slowly built to this match.

If the "Dirt Sheets" are to be believed, the reason for this is that Nash has some sort of injury and can't wrestle right now.

If this is true, then they didn't have much of a choice but to put Triple H in the match with Punk.

But wouldn't they had known that Nash was injured? I find it hard to believe that they would just stick Nash, without being checked out, in a match with quite possibly, the hottest wrestler on the planet right now.

It is possible that some injury flared up.

Whatever the case maybe, it is a shame they didn't have the time to slowly build to what should be a great rivalry.

But, what really is lost on all this is why isn't CM Punk in the title picture?

Hurricane Irene

I had planned to do a Smackdown! Recap, but had to get ready for the hurricane.
Power is still out, so I might not be able to watch Raw.
Hope everyone is ok.

Raw 8/22

Alberto Del Rio is in the ring and is about to introduce himself, when Cena's music hits.
Cena tells Del Rio that not only will he take Del Rio's title, but he will injure him as well.
Cena is coming across much edgier than usual lately. First taking Del Rio to task for cashing in his MITB contract after Punk is beat up, and now threating to injure him?

Punk comes to the ring and declares that he's heard this before: "Cena wants another title shot."

Triple H is next and states that he calls the shots and it will be Punk vs Cena to decide who takes on Alberto at the Night of Champions PPV.

Del Rio defeats John Morrison in a pretty good match. It's nice to see a heel champion retain his belt cleanly for a change-I'm looking at you Miz!

The Divas of Doom need to do more than just clap and stare down the face divas from the ramp after they've won a match.

Riley pins Swagger in a very quick match. Is Swagger going to end up being managed by Vickie or is he turning face?

Triple H tell Nash, while backstage, to leave. If that's not foreshadowing something!

New tag team champs. Now if only they would change those god-awful looking title belts.

John Laurinaitis tells Hunter that Nash has been in a car accident. Hunter leaves and Laurinaitis is in charge.

I have to admit, I'm loving this Miz/R Truth thing they have going. And I hated the Miz at first, really disliked him.
But he has grown on me. He is great on the mic, and is extremely entertaining.

This could be a great tag team.

John Cena vs CM Punk in another great match. Nash is on the ramp and tells Punk it's not over.
Leaving Punk exposed to the Attitude Adjustment and the win by Cena.

Del Rio comes in and attacks Cena. Laurinaitis tries unsuccessfully to stop Alberto from going after Cena.

Cena is laid out as Raw goes off the air.

I'm not feeling the CM Punk/Nash storyline. To me, it just feels very forced.

I do like the back and forth between both of them, but Nash just came out of nowhere. I just don't sense the heat that is supposedly builing this fued up.

But, it is still early. We'll see what happens next on Raw.

Raw 8/15 Punk/Cena/Nash

Not sure what to think about the Kevin Nash storyline.
He all but said Triple H is the one who asked him to "stick it" to whoever won the Undisputed WWE title.
But no confrontation between Triple H and Punk last nite?
If I were Punk, and indeed pissed, I would have made sure I talked to him then and there.
Perhaps they were waiting on that to build it up(?)

To me it just seemed incomplete.

I did like the back and forth between Punk and Nash, just not sure where it is heading, and if it will have the desired payoff.

I've been a fan of Cena since he debuted, but I find his act is a little stale.
Lately I have been rooting for whoever is facing him (except the Miz!) because his opponents to me, are far more interesting.

Last nite was the first time that what he said actually pissed me off!

Calling out Alberto Del Rio for cashing in the MITB contract after Punk and Cena's match and after Nash laid Punk out.

Del Rio wasn't the first MITB winner to take advantage of a weakened Champion, and he won't be the last.

Cena was furious that Del Rio had done that, but yet, he never accused Edge of doing the same.

I admire Cena for being the "bell cow" that he is, and knowing how devoted to the WWE he is, but I'm finally seeing that enough is enough.

Having him continuously win the title is selling the other capable wrestlers short and hurting the product.

I'm hoping Del Rio keeps the belt for a good amount of time, but I know better.

SummerSlam recap

The Cena/Punk match was not on par with their Money In the Bank Match, but a very good match none the less.
I liked how both Cena and Punk doubted Triple H's fairness as a ref after both had near three counts on each other.
Very cool of Punk to use Randy Savage's Flying Elbow drop off of the top rope.
Randy Savage chants fill the arena.

Punk wins the match though Cena's foot is on the bottom rope. I had predicted that Triple H would inadvertently screw over Punk, I had the wrong guy!

Possible Heel turn for Cena? Wait for it...no!

Out of nowhere comes out...Kevin Nash?!?!
Power bombs Punk and leaves.

Now at this time I would have expected Del Rio to come out, but I was still shocked at the Kevin Nash swerve.
Also, Del Rio had twice before attempted to cash in his MITB contract, but didn't go through with it.
So I thought this will continue on Monday Night Raw.

Wrong! Out come Del Rio, quick kick to the head, and he finally achieves his destiny!

Historic match that will not long be forgotten.

Can't wait to see what happens on Raw tonight.

The World Heavyweight title match between Christian and Randy Orton was, as was their other matches, a great match.
It was great to see Edge back in the ring. You knew he wouldn't physically get involved in the match, but calling out Christian for his past actions was brilliant.
Though it seems this is the end of the Orton/Christian program, Christian has proven that he belongs in the main event.
Heel or Face, the fans get behind him.

The six-man tag match had some very good spots in it. John Morrison never fails to deliver an "Oh my god" moment. You have to wonder though how will the WWE keep the momentum going with R Truth and the Miz now that they are not headlining.
They are too good to be stuck mid-carding.
It was a good way to get some deserving superstars onto the SummerSlam card.

I did not think much of the Divas Championship match. It seemed to me that they were pushing Kelly Kelly hard on us.
Having her show off some new moves, and really taking it (for her anyway) to Beth Phoenix.
She still had some botches during her match with Phoenix.
It's as if WWE creative has heard the fans wish that they push the Divas division, and more so, the women wrestlers that can actually wrestle, but they will continue with models-turned-wrestlers and that's all there is to it.

I didn't expect a clean finish in the Sheamus/Mark Henry match. It looks like they will continue with this program for a while and I have no problem with that.
I expect, when it does come to it's conclusion, that Sheamus will continue to get his major push as an up-and-coming baby face superstar.

The Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett match was, in my opinion, the best match of the night.
These two are destined for greatness in the very near future.
It's well known that Bryan was a very technical wrester in the independent circuit, and it's great to see the WWE push him as such.
He has shown that he can have a great match with anyone.
Wade Barrett has all the "tools" as they say, though I am not a fan of his finisher.
I hope they continue this feud.

I loved the R Truth/Jimmy Hart backstage segment.
I knew a "little Jimmy" comment was coming, just didn't know how they would work it in.
Brilliant!

SummerSlam predictions

Divas Champion Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix

I expect (and would hope) Phoenix wins the Diva Championship. The Diva division is pretty week, and to have Kelly Kelly as champion is a disgrace to real women wrestlers (as apposed to former models who now wrestle.)

Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett

Bryan is well known for his time on the independent circuit, and Barrett, for a second, had a huge push.
Should be a good match, and I don't see Bryan losing cleanly.
I could see them continuing this feud for a bit.
Barrett cheats to win.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry

Looking forward to this match. I love what they are doing with Henry. He is truly a monster heel.
I've been a fan of Sheamus since he came into the WWE.
Thought he was a great heel. Very good on the mic, and has a lot of talent.
I think he can be a very effective face too.
I don't see a clean winner in this match either.
that would kill all the momentum that both of them have.

Sheamus by DQ.

World Heavyweight Champion Christian vs. Randy Orton (No Holds Barred Match)

This is a great feud and all of their matches have been high caliber.
I don't really know what to expect out of this match, but I think Christian will retain his title.

John Cena vs. CM Punk (Undisputed WWE Championship Match with special guest referee Triple H

Another fantastic feud. Fans love to hate Cena, and CM Punk is being crowned the new Stone Cold.
It seems fairly obvious that Triple H will somehow screw Punk out of the WWE Championship.
Punk referred to Triple H as a dufus in his now legendary promo, so one would assume The Game will be out to get Punk.

We all know WWE loves a swerve or two, so I don't expect that to happen...yet.

Might another WWE superstar, one with a famous eyebrow, interfere with this match?

The Rock has been dragged into this story-line, so it's not too hard to believe, but, again, don't see that happening.

I do see John Laurinaitis coming into play though. He tries to screw Punk, Triple H attempts to stop it but ends up costing Punk the tile inadvertently.

Thus continuing the Triple H/CM Punk push to Wrestlemania 28.

Thoughts on Wrestlemania 27

Not sure where to start, so I'll just jump right in. I was disappointed in Wrestlemania. There, I said it. And no, it wasn't because Cena lost!

I'll start with the opening match, the World Title match. First of all, why is this the opening match? I won't give them too much grief about this, because it was a different approach.
Having a title match to open the show is bold, and gets you pumped up right away.

While it was a good match, and had some very good spots, I just don't know why they booked the match the way they did.
I thought the Edge/Del Rio feud was a good one, and looked forward to where it headed next.

So why have Edge win? Was it just to have a swerve at 'Mania? A lot of fans thought (myself included) that somehow Edge would lose, and Christian would be the cause, intentionally or not.

I thought the way it ended was a bit of a waste, and very disappointed by it. Of course, I'm a big Del Rio fan, so that was to be expected.
I suppose they could have a rematch and somehow involve Christian again, and maybe it would end the way most thought it would.

But if that does happen, why wouldn't they have just done that at 'Mania?

I was also very disappointed that they did not have Sheamus defend his title against Daniel Bryan. I thought this could have been a very good match.

Which leads me to the King/Cole match. All I can say is WTF?

This match was terrible. It went on way too long, and again, why did they end it the way they did? To have the "anonymous" GM reverse the decision: why?

I wanted this feud to end. It was entertaining at first, but quickly got long in the tooth.

They could have cut this match in half (or more so) and had the Sheamus/Bryan match instead.

The Mysterio/Rhodes match was solid. Did not predict that Cody would win the match.

CM Punk vs Orton was a great match. Easily the second best match of the night behind Taker/HHH.
Punk brutalized Orton throughout the match. He was vicious.

The ending was great. Though I wanted CM Punk to win, I was not disappointed.

Not going to waste my time talking about the Corre/Show/Kane etc match.

All I'll say about the mixed tag match is that I was shocked to see Snooki pull off that tumbling(?) move. I expected her to botch it.

The Undertaker/HHH match stole the show for me.
They both gave everything they had, when HHH used Takers finisher, I thought the Streak was over.

Even when Taker had Triple H in his submission move, I thought Trips might power his was out of it.
They had me going the entire match as far as who would end up on top.

Being a Cena fan, and more importantly NOT a fan of the Miz, I was disappointed Cena did not win. That combined with the World Title match and the abysmal King/Cole match, I was pretty PO'd by the time 'Mania ended.

I thought the Rock would confront Cena, but I didn't think he would cost him the title. I know, I should have seen that coming.

It will be ineresting to see what happens next with Rock/Cena/Miz. Raw should be electric tonight.

Apparently this was the first Wrestlemania ever that a title did not change hands. I hope that does not become a trend.

The Rock was phenomenal as always, and saved 'Mania for me.

Time to get ready for Raw.

Thought's on Undertaker/HHH, Rock/Cena/Miz on Raw (03/28)

I really enjoyed the Undertaker/Triple H face-off. When the Undertaker's Bell sound interrupted H's in-ring entrance, I knew IT was on!
They both made some great points about each other. What I love about Pro wrestling (and this is the Mark in me!) is when they incorporate a Shoot into a Work.

Triple H said the he and Shawn Michaels would let one another know when the other was "through" and that HHH sees that time is now for the Undertaker.
It is well known that 'Taker is beat up. His knee and shoulder problems have been documented. He takes off months at a time each year to heal up.

Which, as I have questioned before, leads me to wonder: is his time up? Will the streak end at Wrestlemania 27?

I hate to admit it, but I did not even think about the possibility of Michaels appearing on Raw and giving his thoughts about the match.

When HHH asked Shawn to tell 'Taker why he will end The streak on Sunday, and Shawn just walked out of the ring, well, it definitely had me wondering what the outcome will be.

Marks know that Triple H is Vince McMahon's son-in-law and that he also has considerable "pull" in the company.

Will he allow himself to lose in what will be the match that ends Wrestlemania? Will he do what's good for the company instead of looking out for himself?

I think the answer is yes to both of those questions. The streak is huge in the WWE, and I think they want 'Taker to retire 20-0.

The Rock/Cena/Miz showdown did not disappoint. While I am a fan of Cena, I thought some of his remarks in defending himself were a bit corny.
The Rock was hyped up. You could tell even before he made his way into the ring. This story-line is simply masterful, and I truly hate to see it end.

I could not predict that it would get physical, even though Rock did indeed promise that.

Seeing the Rock "Layeth the smacketh down!" was a joy to see. It has been far too long.

I was afraid that the Miz, in Miz fashion, would run away before getting his due. I was glad to see that was not the case. I couldn't have been happier seeing him on the receiving end of the People's Elbow!

What happened after that, I truly did not expect. When Cena had the Rock in position to deliver the Attitude Adjustment, I expected Rock to make his way out of it.
I and many of the fans who witnessed it, I'm sure, were shocked to see Cena deliver the AA to the Rock.

But what does this mean? By having the "nerve" to attack the Rock; will this lead to a heel turn for Cean? I doubt it, but the first time we see Cena, the boos will be deafening.

And what will the Rock do in retaliation? Will he indeed interfere in the WWE tile match between the Miz and Cena?

It would be easy to speculate that he will interfere and cost Cena the chance to win the title.
This could be the major swerve that I had previously mentioned could happen.

I mean, prior to Monday, every fan "knew" that Cena would win back the title at 'Mania. Miz had his run, but now it's Cena's turn.

And by causing Cena to lose, this would continue the Rock/Cena rivalry.

And maybe, just maybe, we will see the Rock VS John Cena some day!

I don't know what the history is of having two world champions crowned at 'Mania. It just doesn't seem likely.

But I'll stick with my prediction that Cena will win the WWE title and Del Rio will become the new World Heavyweight champion.

But that's the beauty of Wrestlemania: you know a swerve is coming, you're just not sure which one!

Predictions for Wrestlemania 27

Wrestlemania is 18 days away, and even though the card is not very strong, I am very excited to see it.

When I say it's not very strong, don't get me wrong, there is potential for some great matches, but there is no HBK/Undertaker type dream match.

The reason I'm looking forward to it, two words: The Rock.

They (WWE Creative, whoever) knew that they would not have a strong card, so they had to to get someone to create some buzz, someone huge.

There is no better than the Rock.

While not the best technical wrestler, on the mic, there is no better and that is why they brought him back.

Watching him on Raw the past few weeks, I feel like a kid at christmas. Hell, at times I'm downright giddy.

Ok, enough of my man-crush. Let's get to my predictions.

Undertaker vs Triple H

I don't see how this can possibly match the last two Undertaker/HBK matches, but
it definitely has potential to be a great match.

I remember when Batista started his feud with Undertaker, I didn't think that would be a very entertaining match, but I was dead wrong.
I believe he can just about wrestle anyone, and take their game to a new level.
Those were, IMO, some great matches.

So too this match with Triple H. HHH has been away for some time, but I think the intensity will be high.

Rumors are that Undertaker will walk away from wrestling 20-0 this time next year.
But, I have read that he is really beat up.

That being said I still see Undertaker winning this match.

The Miz vs John Cena for the WWE title

Personally, I don't like the Miz, but he is a great heel. I mean, people seem to really hate him.

It would seem obvious that Cena would win this match, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a swerve, and Miz retained his title.

But I predict Cena will win.

I know Cena has as many detractors as he does fans, if not more, but I have always liked him.
Even when he was heel, which was short lived.

Edge vs Alberto Del Rio for the World Title

First off, I am a huge Del Rio fan. I think this guy will be huge. Not that that is stepping out on a limb, as he was previous known as Dos Caras Jr, he was a very successful wrestler in Mexico and Japan.

I think this match will end up being a triple threat match with Christian being the third opponent.

My thinking is why else would they continually have Christian "save" Edge over the last month in his dealings with Del Rio?

I think there will be a "mistake" in the match involving Edge and Christian with Del Rio taking advantage of it and becoming the new World Heavyweight Champion.

This then will start a feud with Edge and Christian.

Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler with special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin

Jerry wins this match. Stone Cold stuns Jack Swagger (who will be in Cole's corner) and I'm sure he'll stun Cole also.

Randy Orton vs CM Punk

For me this will be one of my most anticipated matches (behind Edge/Del Rio/Christian(?)

CM Punk is a great asset to the WWE. He is probably THE best heel, but also can be a great babyface.

I want CM Punk to win, but see Orton winning this match.

I don't care about the mixed tag match involving Snooki(!), but I do look forward to seeing Trish Stratus back in the ring.
Trish and company win this match.

Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes

As far as technical wrestling goes, this could be a great match, I'm just not feeling it.
I have to admit, I haven't really been following this story-line, so maybe it's just me.

Rey wins.

I'm not sure what role the Rock will have in the Cena/Miz match.

I do not think he will interfere in anyway, but he has to have an interaction with one or both of them.

If Cena does win, I think the Rock might have an altercation with the Miz.

I don't see him overshadowing Cena's win by having words with Cena.

Perhaps Cena wins, celebrates in the ring, than leaves. Leaving Miz in the ring with the Rock.

People's Elbow later to Miz, crowd goes wild, 'Mania ends.

Jeff Hardy incident at Victory Road

As many now know, Jeff Hardy was in no condition to wrestle at TNA's Victory Road PPV Sunday night.
While nothing is official (TNA of course won't come out and say this) that was the reason for the short title match.

My question is why did TNA allow this? They obviously knew what his condition was before the match began.

Acquiring Jeff Hardy after he left WWE was a major coup for TNA. But this (according to reports) was not the first time Hardy was in poor condition.

Is TNA so starved for major talent that they will turn a blind eye to a dangerous precedent such as this?

TNA should be above this. They have the talent on their roster, they just have to believe in it and let their story-lines play out.

They shouldn't let Jeff Hardy ruin the time and effort they have put forth into their organization.
